ASHEVILLE, N.C. (Nov. 1, 2013) – Mission My Care Plus in Candler is pleased to announce the addition of Jana Watts, MD. Dr. Watts is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She joins Mission My Care Plus in Candler after serving as the lead physician for the Mission Sports and Rehab Clinic since 2007.
“We are honored to have Dr. Watts join the team at Mission My Care Plus in Candler,” said Kristi Sink, MHA, Vice President of Ambulatory and Ancillary Services for Mission Health. “She will be a valuable asset to the community, bringing with her an emphasis and expertise in treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries.”
Dr. Watts earned her medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, N.C. She completed her residency in family medicine at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, N.C. She is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. She also serves as a team physician for the University of North Carolina Asheville Bulldogs and the Warren Wilson College Owls.

She enjoys biking, practicing Pilates, attending local sporting events and spending time with her family.
