Press release from Earth Fare:

Earth Fare, the nation’s authentic specialty organic and natural food grocery chain, will launch a two-week long celebration of its 40th Anniversary beginning September 9 across all its locations. To honor and thank its customers and communities, Earth Fare will celebrate its 40 years with never-before-seen pricing events and the introduction of its new Heirloom Collection, a special selection of products by manufacturers and producers who have been partnering with Earth Fare since its beginning to help deliver the healthiest foods to its stores and communities. As part of the anniversary celebration, one lucky customer will be awarded free groceries for a year! ($100/week for 52 weeks)

Founded in Asheville, NC as “Dinner for the Earth” in 1975, Earth Fare assumed its current brand in 1994. Still headquartered in Asheville today, Earth Fare has grown to include 40 stores in ten states primarily in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest United States. The company employs more than 2,500 team members across all its locations focused every day on making it easier for customers to live healthier lives.

With its mission of providing “Healthy Food for Everyone,” Earth Fare has remained steadfast to its values from the beginning. In 1975, it offered dried bulk goods in wooden barrels and wellness products on shelves made of reclaimed lumber. The original store was founded through networking in order to source the best fresh and natural products, and organic produce. Forty years later, Earth Fare has grown into a nationally recognized supermarket with the highest quality food standards in the industry, offering carefully curated selections of organic, non-GMO, local, sustainably sourced, and wellness products that are easily accessible and affordable. Its commitment to fresh, organic and healthy food still resonates with customers after 40 years.

“At the heart and soul of Earth Fare is our commitment to ensuring that every one of our products meets our highest food Quality Standards,” said President & CEO, Frank Scorpiniti. “Our customers deserve that. We connect people with healthy food and products, many of which they can only get at Earth Fare. Our customers can shop with confidence that our food is free from artificial ingredients, from high fructose corn syrup, and from added antibiotics – we read the labels so our customers don’t have to. We want to help customers make healthier choices for their families, every day, in every aisle.”

Earth Fare is using their 40th Anniversary not just as an opportunity to look back, but to look forward.

“We have an expansion plan that is fueled by our vision to provide ‘Healthy Food for Everyone,’” continued Scorpiniti. “We want to demonstrate to more people that the path to healthier living is as easy as walking through our front door.”

“From east to west, north to south, Earth Fare is coming to a neighborhood near you soon with a shopping experience you won’t forget,” said Scorpiniti, “We’re just getting started.”
