Grammy winning finger-picking guitarist Pat Donohue from “A Prairie Home Companion” qill play at Isis Restaurant & Music Hall, in the Mountain Spirit Acoustic series, on April 15 from 7-9 p.m.
Donohue’s devotion to acoustic guitar has made him an American standard. His renditions of blues, swing and R&B (and originals) echo the tones of Robert Johnson, Charlie Parker, Merle Travis and Muddy Waters. For over 15 years Pat was the lead guitar player for the “Guy’s All Star Shoe Band” on the NPR favorite “Prairie Home Companion”. Chet Atkins called him one of the greatest finger pickers in the world today and Leo Kottke called his playing “haunting.”
Tickets are $15.
