Press release from the Asheville Fire Department:
The Asheville Fire Department responded to a house fire at Alex Way on May 4, 2019, which involved a fire fatality. In coordination with the Asheville Police Department, the identity of the victim is confirmed to be 32 year old resident Erich Doll. This fire, which started in the bedroom, has been ruled undetermined due to the amount of damage to the structure and there is no evidence to indicate it was suspicious in nature.
