Free trapping course at Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education, Aug. 18

The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is hosting a Land Trapping Course on Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This comprehensive class, which will be instructed by Commission staff, will focus on land trapping techniques for species such as coyote, fox, bobcat and raccoon. The course will have some classroom activities and hands-on, practical outdoor instruction. Participants will learn the laws and regulations for trapping, the various types of traps, the equipment necessary for land trapping, how to prepare for the upcoming season and more. Participants are asked to bring lunch, a notebook, gloves and clothes for the outdoors.
