French Broad River MPO public input meetings set for Oct. 30, Nov. 13 & 15

This notice is to let you know about several public input opportunities scheduled for transportation projects and planning initiatives in our region:

· Kanuga Road R-5748 Project (Henderson County): drop-in open house for the updated project design to be held tonight, October 30 from 4-7 PM at Hendersonville Operations Center. · Sweeten Creek Road U-2801A Project (Buncombe County): drop-in open house for the project will be held on Tuesday, November 13 from 4-7 PM at Arden Presbyterian Church. More info at https://www.ncdot.gov/projects/sweeten-creek-road/Documents/U-2801A_Public_Notice.pdf

· French Broad River MPO draft Congestion Management Process document is now posted online for public comment, prior to expected adoption at the FBRMPO Board meeting on Thursday, November 15th. This is a regional plan which outlines the region’s approach to addressing congestion and will impact what types of projects are considered for STI/SPOT Prioritization in our region for funding in the future.
