Georgia on My Mind Forever blood drive to provide for local hospitals

Press release from event organizer Larry Rohan:

The “Georgia on My Mind Forever” blood drive is held in co-operation with The Blood Connection. It is blood drives like this one that provide all the blood and blood products to Mission, Pardee, Park Ridge, and St. Luke’s Hospitals. The inaugural 2015 “Georgia on My Mind Forever” collected 25 pints of blood, signed up over 60 people as organ donors while allowing the community to come together over local ales, food, live music and dancing. This year we look to double the blood collected for our local community. Ambassadors will be provided by the National Junior Honor Society to answer questions and provide information about the Blood Connection and why blood donation is critical to a healthy community. Hendersonville Ballet will be preforming original choreographed works and we look forward to having Ellen Trnka back playing her guitar with original vocals. Food will be provided by “Mike’s on Main” and local beers will be selected soon. Raffles will be held offering prizes including but limited to a Toshiba 10.1 Widows tablet, Local Restaurant Gift Cards, Theatre and concert tickets. www.GeorgiaOnMyMindForever.com Sat, Apr 30, 3:00 PM See more details.
