From a press release:
Grand Opening of Brother Wolf Animal Rescue’s “Second Chances West”
This Friday, August 8th, beginning at 5:00 p.m., Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is having the Grand Opening of it’s new thrift store, “Second Chances, West.” The store is located at 697 Haywood Road in West Asheville and will be open to welcome guests from 5pm-8pm that evening.
“We’re very excited to become a part of the West Asheville community,” says Denise Bitz, Founder and President of Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.
“Second Chances West” is Brother Wolf’s second thrift store. The original thrift store, next to Brother Wolf’s Adoption Center, at 49 Glendale Ave. will remain open as well.
“Our mission to help build a No-Kill Asheville means we’re helping the most ‘at risk’ dogs and cats in the county shelter. These animals most ‘at risk’ are also the most costly to care for. So our new thrift store in West Asheville will help create new revenue to support our growing rescue expense.
“Folks shopping at either of our thrift store locations can feel really good about not only purchasing from us, but donating their gently used items as well. We are on track to save over 4,000 animals this year just through our adoption, transport, and TNR programs.”
At the Grand Opening this Friday evening, guests can enjoy great shopping as well as complimentary snacks, drinks and opportunities to win fun prizes.
Bitz adds, “Plus, some of our great adoptable dogs and cats will be available to meet guests, and hopefully go home to a lucky new family!”
