Hands On! A Child’s Gallery, located at 318 N. Main St. in Hendersonville, has announced these events for April and early May.
Tues. April 1 – Sat. May 3. Recycled Art o’ Rama! All ages; every day. In honor of Earth Day, April 22nd, Hands On! is dedicating the art area to recyclable art. Come get crafty and reduce waste by reusing common items to create something new! Take home your creation or leave it at Hands On! to inspire others and be a part of the recycled art show. Sponsored by Todd Webb, CPA, PC. Free with $5 admission/free for members.
Tues.4/1-Fri.4/4. All day. NanoDays. All ages. Join us for the 3rd year of NanoDays with lots of science demonstrations, experiments & exhibits focused on the science of the very, very small – the nano size. Sponsored by The NISE Network and The National Science Foundation and an official event of the NC Science Festival. Free with $5 admission/free for members.
Tues.4/1. 11 am – 11:30 am. Mad Scientists Lab – Nano! Ages 3 yrs & up. Join Dr. Bunson & Dr. Beaker in the Mad Scientist Lab as they explore the tiny, tiny world of Nano Science. Mad Scientists Lab will be Tuesday mornings at 11 am April 8, 22, & 29. Sponsored by BP Fueling Communities. $7 non-members (includes admission for child participating in class); free for members. Thurs. 4/3. 11:00 am. Healthy Kids Club- Superfoods Hero! Ages 3-6 years. Children will learn about certain “power-foods” and have an opportunity to sample them. Sponsored by the Henderson County Department of Public Health. Free with $5 admission & free for members.
The mission of Hands On! is to provide children and families with “hands on” educational experiences that stimulate the imagination and motivate learning in a fun, safe environment. Hands On! is the place where learning comes into play. Special classes are offered in the facility all year long, and teachers can call Hands On! to learn about traveling programs available in schools. Hands On! is located at 318 N. Main Street.
