Press release from Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort:

Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort has partnered with the Western Women’s Business Center to host an Entrepreneurship Panel during their upcoming Savvy event. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from local entrepreneurs as they share their experiences of owning a small business in Sylva, NC. Panelists include Misty Fisher from HannaCole’s, Erin W. Smith from Humanite Boutique and Amanda Belue from Vintage Belue. Tonya Snider from the Western Women’s Business Center will be facilitating the event.

The Western Women’s Business Center opened its doors in July of 2014 with a mission to provide technical assistance, capital and programs that reduce the barriers and serve as a catalyst to the success of women entrepreneurs in Western North Carolina.

Savvy serves as a resource for the professional development of women within the workplace and was recently implemented at Harrah’s Cherokee Casinos. Savvy’s goal is to bring a 50/50 representation of gender equity across management positions at Harrah’s Cherokee Casinos.
