Hayden Rogers campaign highlighted by DCCC

Here’s the press release from the campaign of Hayden Rogers, who’s running in the Democratic primary in the 11th Congressional District:

Hayden Rogers Named to DCCC’s Emerging Races
Momentum Continues to Grow During Early Vote Period

Brasstown, NC – Hayden Rogers’ campaign has been highlighted as one of the most competitive in the country and named to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s Emerging Races program. Rogers is the only candidate in North Carolina to earn the ranking.

Rogers was recognized for making this race increasingly competitive by meeting infrastructure and organizational goals and making the case to voters that he is a leader who will work for Western North Carolina families. As early voting begins, the “Emerging Races” designation is further proof that Rogers has the grassroots momentum and support to become the 11th Congressional District nominee.

“Our campaign is rapidly becoming one of the most competitive in the country as we continue to communicate our common sense message to people across Western North Carolina and aggressively expand our grassroots network,” Rogers said. “Western North Carolina families want a rational and hardworking representative in Congress who will fight for their interests, and our message of creating jobs, improving education, and protecting Social Security and Medicare for seniors is resonating with voters in the 11th District and propelling our campaign forward.”

Rogers’ campaign has gained remarkable momentum since his entry into the race. First quarter fundraising reports released last week showed that he out-raised every candidate in both parties. A majority of the campaign’s individual donors reside in Western North Carolina, showing the strength and depth of Rogers’s support. Rogers also received the unanimous endorsement of the American Postal Workers Union Local 277 last week.
