Henderson County Resource Updates Thursday, Oct. 3

Press release from Henderson County:

Henderson County remains in a State of Emergency and the 8pm to 8am curfew is still in effect for the entire County.
Henderson County Resource Hub locations will be open Thursday, October 3rd beginning at 9:00am for water distribution and other supplies as they become available.
The Resource Hub locations are:
*Etowah Elementary, 320 Etowah School Road Etowah, NC 28729
*Rugby Middle, 3345 Haywood Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28791
*East Henderson High, 150 Eagle Pride Dr, East Flat Rock, NC 28726
*North Henderson High, 35 Fruitland Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792
*Mills River Town Hall, 124 Town Center Drive. Mills River, NC 28759

*Fletcher Town Hall, 300 Old Cane Creek Rd Fletcher, NC 28732

Also, we will have free hot meals to go served twice daily around noon and 5 p.m. at four of the resource hubs in Henderson County. These to-go meals are first come, first served:

*East Henderson High, 150 Eagle Pride Dr, East Flat Rock, NC 28726
*North Henderson High, 35 Fruitland Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792
*Mills River Town Hall, 124 Town Center Drive. Mills River, NC 28759
Henderson County will provide curbside storm debris removal to county residents as a free service. The county will pick up storm debris that is pushed to the right of way of a property. Please be patient. The county will pick up this storm debris as soon as possible. Residents will need to place all items along the right of way in order for pickup.
Storm debris includes tree branches, leaves, logs, building materials, furniture, paint, etc. Please separate household garbage, construction debris, vegetative debris, large appliances, electronics and hazardous waste to expedite the removal process.
A donation drop-off site has been established at 118 McAbee Court, Flat Rock, NC 28731. Non-perishable food items, bottled water, toiletries and baby powder formula are needed. We are not accepting perishable food or new/used clothing items at this time. This site is for donation drop offs only.
