Many Henderson County residents were surprised this week when they received the lastest phone book from AT&T.
The Hendersonville Times-News reported Friday that there were no residential listings.
For the 2014-15 version of the Yellow Pages, AT&T decided not to include residential listings because of “feedback and research from consumers,” according to AT&T spokesman Josh Gelinas.
In recent years AT&T has dropped residential listings from the Yellow Pages in other markets and offered consumers the opportunity to order a free YP Real White Pages book with residential listings. Less than 5 percent of consumers in those markets actually ordered a copy, Gelinas said.
