The National Alliance to End Homelessness (the Alliance) has completed their project on understanding unsheltered homelessness, and the full report with findings and recommendations is available here.
The Alliance will present their recommendations in person at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville next week:
- January 25, 2023, 1 – 4 p.m.: Joint Meeting of Asheville City Council and Buncombe County Commissioners
- January 26, 2023, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Retreat with the Homeless Initiative Advisory Committee
Both meetings are open to the public and will be live streamed on the City’s YouTube channel and recorded/posted on the City’s website. We encourage you to attend or view either meeting next week to understand what has contributed to the increase in unsheltered homelessness.
For more information and meeting materials, please visit the HIAC committee webpage.
