Jackson Chamber launches Wonderful Wednesdays business campaign in Dillsboro

Announcement from Jackson County Chamber of Commerce:

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is spearheading a new weekly shopping and dining campaign in Dillsboro called “Wonderful Wednesdays.” These weekly events will be held each Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until about 7 p.m. (or later) depending on merchant participation.

The chamber is partnering with the Jackson County Farmers Market to cross promote the event. The Farmers Market has moved to Innovation Station in Dillsboro each Wednesday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. this summer. Merchants and restaurants are encouraged to stay open later than usual and offer specials and deals for the consumer.

“We’re hoping this gives our friends, members and merchants in Dillsboro a needed boost,” said Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie Donaldson. “Due to Covid-19, we all know our merchants have seen less than normal sales. This area of Jackson County is also experiencing reduced traffic from bridge construction and reduced train traffic from the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.”
