Light it Up Purple vigil for domestic violence awareness Oct 1

Buncombe County courthouse will blaze purple this Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. And a crowd will stand reverent in Pack Square Park for a Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil as they observe the courthouse lighting ceremony. This year, the vigil will feature music by Womansong, survivor testimony, a memorial for North Carolina domestic violence related homicide victims and a candle lighting to accompany the purple lit courthouse.

There will also be information tables highlighting services available to assist victims as well as the Clothesline Project Display.
