Liz Harper named City of Asheville Public Records Officer

Press release from City of Asheville:

The City of Asheville is pleased to introduce Liz Harper as the City’s new Public Records Officer. In her new role she will be embedded in the City’s Legal Department.

A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Information, she holds a Master of Science in Information with specializations in archives and records management. In her previous roles as an associate professor, academic archivist, and museum curator she has provided guidance on data management, metadata, and managed special collections and archives.

Liz looks forward to working with public records as she believes strongly that open and transparent government is crucial to accountability and trust. She can be reached at lharper@ashevillenc.gov or 734-239-3198.
