As winners of Rack Room Shoes’ annual Models Wanted contest, an Arden family is now featured in the national footwear retailer’s fall advertising campaign. In addition, the Fidelia family received $5,000 from Rack Room Shoes to donate to the charity of their choice – in which they selected the Brandi Nichole Family Enrichment Center, a local foster care agency.
Denise, her husband Patrick, their four daughters Marjorie, Kathleen, Brittany and Charlene, and two son-in-laws Chavis and Justin, are currently featured on the company website, seasonal e-blasts and in-store promotional items nationwide.
How the Fidelia family was selected
For the past decade, Rack Room Shoes has featured customers – instead of professional models – in all of its seasonal advertisements. To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Models Wanted program, Rack Room Shoes invited winners from the last 10 years to enter for a chance to return as models with their families.
“Our first Models Wanted experience was everything you’d expect from a glamorous photo shoot – style experts, make-up artists, a personal chauffer, you name it. What we didn’t expect was the way it brought us closer together as a family,” said Denise, who was featured with her family in the 2010 fall campaign. “We knew we had to enter as soon as we saw Rack Room Shoes put the call out for former models.”
The Fidelia family was among the top-voted families on the Rack Room Shoes’ Facebook page, securing their spot as subjects of the 2014 fall campaign.
About the Brandi Nichole Family Enrichment Center donation
The Fidelia family selected the Brandi Nichole Family Enrichment Center – an agency that offers foster care and family support services in Arden – to receive $5,000 from Rack Room Shoes. They will present the check to the organization at the Rack Room Shoes store located at 6 Mckenna Rd. in Arden on October 1 at 11:00 a.m.
