Local MoveOn to hold Sept. 5 rally against Kavanaugh confirmation

Announcement from organizers planning a demonstration opposing confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh:

This is such an incredibly important Supreme Court placement. If appointed,  the next 40-50 year’s will be marred by Kavanaugh’s Uber right rulings. I appreciate your efforts on getting the word out there.

The rally is organized by local MoveOn, (#stopkavanaugh) members. It takes place at 12:00 pm Wednesday, 9/5/18 at the Federal Building, 151 Patton Avenue. Carpooling is encouraged. Participants should make and bring signs protesting the Kavanaugh appointment.

We have reached out to other local area organizations and hope to have folks from the NAACP, LGBTQ, religious, and environmental groups.
