ASHEVILLE, N.C. – July 8, 2013 – The Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter (LFANC, www.lupusnc.org, will be hosting the “Understanding Lupus” Workshop in Asheville on Saturday, Aug. 10. It will take place from 1-3 p.m. at the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (340 Victoria Road) in Rhododendron Building, Room 351. The featured presenter will be NC Rheumatology Association Board Member, Dr. Kristin Gowin from Asheville Arthritis & Osteoporosis Center.

“Our goal to bring awareness and outreach to new lupus patients who are not well versed on their disease, and to reach those who have been experiencing unexplained symptoms and have not been able to get the diagnosis they need,” said Christine John-Fuller, President and CEO of LFANC. “We hope to provide lupus patients with methods of not only living, but also thriving.”
