Local nonprofits ask public to volunteer, donate on Dec. 3, Giving Tuesday

From United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County:

Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and now, GivingTuesday. The idea: in a season of consumerism, it is important to create space for giving back. And one way to do this is promote the organizations who are working to build community and connecting people who care, with tangible ways to help: by raising funds, encouraging volunteerism, promoting advocacy… any number of ways to help any number of efforts.

#GivingTuesday really is a fantastic opportunity to promote greater good during the Thanksgiving season.
