Press release from Indivisible Asheville/WNC:
ASHEVILLE, NC (April 3, 2019) – Hundreds of activists in Asheville and surrounding areas will join a nationwide day of action in response to Attorney General Barr’s failure to release the full report from the Mueller investigation by the April 2 deadline set by Congress. The “Release The Report” Day of Action will take place in over 300 cities and towns across the country, coordinated by dozens of public interest organizations.
The Asheville day of action begins with a press conference at 3:00 pm at Pack Square near the Vance Monument, followed by a public rally near the monument at 6:00. Speakers at the evening rally include Air Force veteran and Transylvania resident Steve Woodsmall, a primary candidate for U.S. House of Representatives from District 11, challenging incumbent Mark Meadows; and former Buncombe County Commissioner and NC House Representative Patsy Keever, currently running for NC Senate from Henderson County, District 48.
A billboard truck illustrating the need for a prompt release of the full report will circle the area during the events.

“North Carolinians overwhelmingly agree that the Mueller Report should be made public, and that starts with delivering the full report to Congress,” said Brenda Murphree of Indivisible Asheville/WNC. “The U.S. House voted 420 to zero to publicly release the full report, and six House Committee chairs requested the complete report be turned over by April 2. The Attorney General cannot be allowed to delay any longer or to withhold information from the report on his own.”
