From The Buncombe County Extension Master Gardeners
Asheville – The Buncombe County Extension Master Gardener volunteers (EMGs) will team up with the Blue Ridge Rose Society to host a plant sale on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will be located in the parking lot of the American Red Cross, 100 Edgewood Street, off of Merrimon Avenue. The sale will include several varieties of roses, as well as perennials and annuals. Books on gardening will be available for sale.
Some of the plants that will be offered, in addition to roses, will be Japanese Anemones, daisies, black eyed Susan, ice plant and other hardy succulents, mums, pink obedient plant, Epimedium, Solomon Seal, lambs ear, pulmonaria, sensitive fern, Monarda, sedum, echinacea and Lenten roses.
