Mission Hospital celebrates first birth of 2019

Brittany Franklin and Mackenzee Lynn Robinson

Press release from Mission Health:

Brittany Franklin, of Mars Hill, came to Mission Hospital with what she thought was a stomach bug around 11 a.m. on 12/31/18; at 1:04 a.m. on 1/1/19, she gave birth to daughter Mackenzee Lynn Robinson, the first baby of 2019. Big brother Blake, almost 4, has been really wanting to meet his new sister, but Franklin wasn’t due to give birth until February 3. Born at 35 weeks, Mackenzee is spending some time in the Mission NICU, but she is stable and according to mom, “she’s doing really well.” Mackenzee was 6 pounds 9 ounces and 20 inches at birth and stay-at-home mom Brittany said, “I’m excited to for her to get better and to be able to hold her.” Big brother Blake was born on January 31, so mom says she has a baby on the first day and on the last day of January.
