Mountain High Republican Women’s Club installs officers

Press release from Mountain High Republican Women’s Club:

Officers were installed and then led members in a 2016 planning session at  the October meeting of the  Mountain High Republican Women’s Club held at the home of founding member KiKi Henry. Officers for 2016-18 are President, Debby Hattler, Glenville; Vice President Programs, Eve Gregg. Brevard; Secretary, KiKi Henry, Cashiers and Treasurer, Shirley Slaughter, Cashiers. Other members of the board include Past President, Dorothy Little; Franklin; Communications /Public Relations, Carol Adams, Glenville; Raffle, Jeri Spinella, Sapphire and Memberss at Large Lise Dews, Cashiers and Arlene Hendrix, Sapphire.

Mountain High Republican Women’s Club was officially launched in December,2009 as a Republican women’s association,  tri-county group comprised  of members from Jackson, Macon and Transylvania counties. The goal of the organization is to inform members and the public by communicating political information, to work for and support Republican candidates in all elections and to cooperate and support local and national Republican organizations as needed. MHRWC meets monthly for lunch from June through October where featured speakers address current affairs, political issues or general local or national government information. Plans for 2016 combine not only candidate and prominent speakers each month but also volunteer support at county headquarters and a major fundraiser.

Active members are registered Republicans from any state and not a member of any other National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) recognized organization.  Republican women who have a primary membership in another NFRW club join MHRWC associate members.
