A group of citizens of East West Asheville are meeting with city officials and others tonight to discuss the impact of traffic on the neighborhood from the New Belgium project.
The primary truck route has been identified as Haywood Road down the hill to Craven Street. Many area residents are concerned about the impact of up to 100 trucks a day being added to what has become a major pedestrian and bicycle route.
There will be representatives from the City of Asheville. DOT has been invited to attend, as has New Belgium.
