New entrepreneurial/startup series launches in Asheville, Jan. 26

From Venture Asheville:

Founded in Silicon Valley, Startup Grind has become the largest independent startup community, actively educating, inspiring, and connecting 215,000 founders in over 150 cities and 65 countries worldwide. Powered by Google for Entrepreneurs, the event is designed to help entrepreneurs connect to partners, mentors and hires, pursue funding, and reach new users. Structured like an intimate fireside chat, successful local founders, innovators, educators and investors share lessons learned on the road to building great companies.

Startup Grind’s monthly fireside chat interviews, startup mixers and annual conferences provide ample opportunities to connect with amazing startups and the people behind them, tap into a strong support network, form meaningful connections and gain inspiration for the startup journey ahead.

In Asheville: Held on the 4th Tuesday each month, the event launches on January 26th, 6-9pm at the Center for Craft, Creativity & Design, 67 Broadway, featuring a conversation with Josh Dorfman, director of Venture Asheville and managing director of Asheville Angels. Previously, Josh launched and directed VineMarket.com, an e-commerce business owned by Amazon.com, and was VP of Marketing for GoodGuide, a “Fast Company 50” venture acquired by Underwriters Laboratories. Elijah Elkins and Mike McKearin will host.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with networking and food, and the fireside chat starts at 7 p.m.
