Night work on portions of Patton Ave. expected to begin Nov. 5

Press release from City of Asheville:

On Sunday, November 5, at 7:00 p.m., utility location work will begin along Patton Ave. from the French Broad St. intersection to Clingman Ave.  To ensure crew and community safety,  there will be a closure of all four traffic lanes on Patton Ave. from Otis St. to Clingman Ave. This exploratory work will take place at night  (7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Thursday only) to minimize impact on the community.  Work is anticipated to last approximately one week. As with any construction project, work can be impacted by weather and can cause additional delays. Detour signs will be posted at Otis St and Clingman Ave starting Sunday, Nov. 5. Please find attached a PDF map of the detour area.

This work is part of the ongoing Stormwater Carter St., Ann St., and Patton Ave. improvement project. Get a complete overview of the project and its community benefits on the City of Asheville website, or check out this quick reference video.
