November is Adopt-a-Senior-Pet month at Asheville Humane Society

All pets 6 years and older are available for fee-free adoption at Asheville Humane Society until Saturday, Nov. 28. The nonprofit’s newsletter explains the promotion as follows:

Senior pets are often overlooked among younger, bouncing puppies and kittens. Seniors can be just as playful as younger pets, are often more laid-back and sometimes come with years of training! There are countless reasons to adopt a senior. Help us celebrate Adopt-a-Senior-Pet Month by adopting or sharing our fee-waived adoption promotion with friends and family! Let’s show our seniors they are loved by finding them loving homes!

(Regular adoption policies still apply, even during reduced-fee promotions)
