Asheville, North Carolina – May 16, 2013 Parkway Medical Group, an eleven-provider medical practice with offices in Asheville and Black Mountain, has added a new provider, board certified family nurse practitioner, Kristie Ruff. Ruff will serve patients out of both the Black Mountain and Asheville offices.
Ruff has ten years of nurse practitioner experience, covering both internal medicine and family practice, as well as more than 30 years of nursing experience in a variety of clinical settings including pediatric, PICU, NICU, ICU, surgical, coronary intensive care & cardiac rehabilitation, and emergency care, acute care, & trauma. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Science in Nursing, received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina, and received her diploma in nursing from Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Ruff, who moved from Florida to Black Mountain to join Parkway Medical Group, particularly enjoys adolescent, pediatric, and well woman care. She has been certified as a family nurse practitioner since 2003 and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
With offices in Asheville and Black Mountain, Parkway Medical Group offers a full range of family medicine services, including management of chronic disease, diagnosis and management of sleep disorders, as well as treatment of acute illnesses in adults and children.
