Pelly talks about Haw Creek plans

Full announcement from Asheville City Council member Chris Pelly:

Dear Neighbor,

Thanks to all who attended last night’s city council meeting in Haw Creek Elementary School. On month’s when there is a fifth Tuesday, city council takes our meetings on the road and last night was east Asheville’s turn.

Linked below is an informed summary from today’s Mtn. Xpress on-line.

Also announced last evening was an upcoming March 1st public meeting to discuss Azalea Rd/Lake Craig-area improvements. Big changes are planned that will improve access to the Nature Center/Recreation Park/John B. Lewis Soccer Park areas. Linked below is all the details.

Finally, for transportation planning advocates who want more emphasis on sidewalks, greenways, public transit and bike paths, on February 11th, the WNC Alliance and Transition Asheville are hosting a transportation planning workshop. See the attached flyer for all the details.

Thank you,

Chris Pelly,
Asheville City Council
