Person shot 10 times, 17 shell casings from 3 guns located — APD seeking help

An individual who was shot 10 times on the porch of a residence on Shiloh Road was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. The victim is in stable but critical condition. Seventeen shell casings from 3 different guns were located. Officers responded to reports of a person shot at 7:36 p.m. on August 11.

Detectives have identified a person of interest in this case but still need your help. If you would like to anonymously share information, you can text TIP2APD to 847411 or use the TIP2APD smartphone app. You can also share information by calling 828-252-1110.

Since Jan. 1, 2021, the Asheville Police Department has responded to 348 calls for service reporting gunshots or a person shot. In addition, 27 people have been shot in Asheville during the same time period.
