Asheville Police are investigating a shooting that took place late Tuesday night, leaving one man with non-life-threatening injuries.
APD Patrol officers responded to the Pisgah View apartment complex on Granada Street around 11:32 p.m. on May 21 to investigate reports of gun discharge. Shortly after arriving, officers learned of a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the ankle arriving at Mission Hospital. While canvassing the area, officers located 14 shell casings and six vehicles that had been damaged by bullets.
Detectives are asking for the public’s help. If anyone has any information about this incident, you are encouraged to contact APD at (828) 252-1110. You can also send an anonymous tip using the TIP2APD smartphone application (search “Asheville PD” in your app store) or by texting TIP2APD to 847411.
