Power of the Purse: May 20 panel discussion with Snowe, Myers

Here’s the info via the Community Foundation of WNC website:

The Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the 10th Annual Power of the Purse® luncheon will feature Olympia Snowe, United States Senator from Maine (1994-2012), and Dee Dee Myers, White House Press Secretary (1993-1994).  Warren Wilson College President Steve Solnick will moderate the discussion.

The discussion will feature compromise and consensus in action, as Snowe and Myers tackle tough issues facing our country from clearly different viewpoints and reach solutions that solve rather than divide.

The afternoon includes the announcement of grants from the Women for Women giving circle. Proceeds benefit The Women’s Fund, a CFWNC permanent endowment that supports the unmet needs of women and girls across the region.  The luncheon is brought to you by CFWNC and made possible by our generous sponsors.

The 10th Annual Power of the Purse® is sold out.  Please call 828-254-4960 if you would like to be placed on the waiting list.
