Reappraisal 2025 is just around the corner, and Buncombe County Property Assessment wants to make sure property owners are aware of the information listed for properties.
In the coming weeks and months, all residential property owners in Buncombe County will be mailed a property record card. This card outlines the information on file for all properties. Property owners should review their information and confirm it is accurate or let the Property Assessment department know if it is incorrect.
In the current column on the left on the property record card, property owners can see the information Buncombe County Property Assessment has on file. If any of this this information is incorrect, property owners simply fill out the updated column on the right. The additional comments section should be used to include any other relevant notes like replacing a roof or HVAC system. Once cards are complete, tear it off at the perforation and return it in the mail. Different than in previous years, it’s important to confirm that property information is correct; write that on the card and mail it back.
Interested in seeing this information online? Visit tax.buncombecounty.org to review and update information using our new website. Use the search bar at the top of the page to search for a property by address, name, pin, or property tax bill number. Property owners can scan the QR code on mailers to be taken directly to digital property cards where changes can be made or information confirmed. changes there. In addition to providing information about properties, that site can also be used to file an appeal, access GIS mapping, check comparable sales, apply for property tax relief, and more.
