Protect NC Families touts Elon poll results

Excerpted announcement from Protect NC Families:

We have great news to share with you.

An Elon University poll released today shows that a majority of North Carolinians oppose Amendment One. The nonpartisan poll revealed that 54.2% of North Carolinians surveyed either oppose or strongly oppose Amendment One, while only 37.8% were in any way supportive.

The Elon University poll is a clear sign that North Carolina is turning AGAINST Amendment One.

The more people learn about this poorly written amendment and its unintended consequences the more they realize it will harm our children, their families, unmarried women, and seniors.

The poll mirrors what we have seen on the ground. Our number of volunteers are surging, more organizations oppose the amendment every day and the more people learn about the harms of Amendment One, the more that they oppose it.

This fight is too important to leave any stone unturned. The folks who want to pass this harmful amendment have national organizations pouring into the state on their behalf which is setting up a battle of national special interests versus you.

We can win that fight, but only if we all stand united.
