Radical Reels Sept. 10 fundraiser to support Buncombe greenways

Here’s the message via Pollinate Collaborations:

REI is hosting Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tours’ Radical Reels at Carolina Cinemas on Hendersonville Road. All proceeds from the event are going to making greenways happen in Buncombe County through Connect Buncombe. The Radical Reels program is made up of short, action-packed climbing, paddling, mountain biking, BASE jumping, skiing, snowboarding, and other adrenaline sport films that feature a fresh approach, a new sport, and a radically independent spirit.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $17 at the door, OR purchase a $30 Greenways, Please VIP ticket (only 30 available). Tickets for this event do sell out. Get your tickets at REI Asheville in Biltmore Park or by calling 828.687.0918

Greenways, Please VIP tickets (only 30 available) include: sitting in the best seats in the house at the film screening, a VIP gift bag, as well as being entered into a drawing (with only 29 others) for a chance to win one of the following: ENO hammock and straps, 2 tickets to a production at The Magnetic Theatre, a gift certificate from Mother Earth Produce: From Local Farms to Your Front Door, 4 tickets for LaZoom Tours, or a $25 REI gift card.

Connect Buncombe is the Buncombe County Government’s outreach and involvement campaign for the greenways program managed by Buncombe County Parks, Greenways and Recreation Services Office (BCPGRS). The goal of Connect Buncombe is to make citizens aware of the beneficial impacts greenways will have on their County. The goal is to bring everyone together including businesses, non-profit groups and organizations to help create a countywide system of connected trails and greenways.
