9 a.m.-3 p.m.
@ Rainbow Community Center
60 State St., Asheville
Blue Ridge GDC is hosting a Really Really Free Market on Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m. until about 3 p.m. This event will take place outdoors at the Rainbow Community Center (60 State Street in West Asheville). This is a community-spirited market featuring various items — food, clothing, small appliances, building materials, skill shares/workshops or whatever folks bring! — all available completely free of any charge. No barter necessary — just bring what you can and take what you need!
Join together in community and solidarity to help make this alternative market experience both sustainable and ongoing! A really REALLY free marketplace develops a community based upon mutual aid and operates outside mainstream economic systems. Participating in, both by contributing to and receiving from, a Really Really Free Market empowers the working class and demonstrates our ability to create long-lasting community support structures.
Some ways to contribute:
Furniture
Bike tune-ups
Hair cuts
Books
Baby products and toys
Non-perishable foods
Clothes, coats, shoes & blankets
YOUR TALENTS! Street art, music, storytelling, etc.

Did the Rainbow center get proper permits for that garish pallet fence on the corner? Is this an example of city permitting ? And what about all the trash cans usually bulging with foodstuff garbage ?
