From the press release from Tim Moffitt’s campaign:
SKYLAND, NC – State Representative Tim Moffitt, R-Buncombe, will host a second legislative town hall meeting in the Skyland area of south Buncombe County. The town hall will offer community residents the chance to both informally meet Rep. Moffitt and engage him during a question and answer session.
The forum will take place on Saturday, July 21 at the Skyland Fire Department at the intersection of Long Shoals and Hendersonville roads. It will last from 10am to noon.
Representative Moffitt held a similar town hall meeting on June 30 at the Leicester Community Center. That event drew an estimated 100 people and included discussion about annexation reform, lifting brewing capacity laws to allow Sierra Nevada and New Belgium breweries to open operations locally, and extending water lines to residents affected by the CTS contamination site in south Asheville.
Moffitt is running for reelection to North Carolina’s 116th District, which encompasses most of western and southern Buncombe County. Moffitt was first elected in 2010.
Please be advised GPS coordinates for the Skyland Fire Department, at 9 Miller Road, Asheville, NC 28776, can result in misdirection.
