Salute to Western North Carolina heroes 2024 seeking nominations

Press release from the American Red Cross:

Do you know someone who has made a difference? If so, please join us in honoring our community heroes by nominating someone who has done something extraordinary in your county. Throughout our community, ordinary people perform extraordinary acts every day. The Western North Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross needs your help in identifying and recognizing our local heroes.

Hero nominees must live, work, or attend school in one of the following 16 counties: Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, or Yancey. Nominees must have performed the act of heroism, demonstrated extraordinary courage, or performed a humanitarian deed(s) within the time frame of January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023.
