LOOKING FOR AMERICA RALLY AND MARCH TAKES PLACE SUNDAY

Feb 25th — On Sunday, February 28th, Asheville Bernie Sanders supporters will hold a rally and March in support of the candidate. The march, hosted by Western North Carolina for Bernie Sanders, will begin at 1pm at the New Mountain Blue Ridge Room (38 N. French Broad Ave. Asheville NC). Live musical entertainment and speakers will kick off the event at New Mountain which will be followed by a peaceful march to Pack Square.

Event attendees will then assemble at Pack Square for a celebratory ‘Honk and Wave’ and distribute information on Bernie Sanders’ platform. Anyone interested in volunteering for the campaign will have an opportunity to learn how to get involved. “We wanted to hold this rally in Asheville so we could publicly stand together for a political revolution and encourage attendees to make calls and canvass in great numbers to get out the vote,” says Asheville Bernie supporter Cheryl Orengo.

Asked why the need for a march and rally at this time, organizer Carol Schaefer said, “I’ve organized this because we need to make the public aware that now is the time to take back our democracy, not later. Bernie Sander, with all our help is the man to do it. We need volunteers to get active before the March 15th primary.”

All are welcome to the event. For more information please reach out to the contacts above.
