Season’s at Highland Lake summer cooking class and lunch

 

PRESS RELEASE from Season’s at Highland Lake

(May 30 2014 – Flat Rock, NC) – Fire on the Rock winner and Season’s at Highland Lake Executive Chef Michelle Bailey will share some of the expertise and inspiration that led her to becoming an award winning chef at the June cooking class at Season’s at Highland Lake. The class will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 11 a.m. Cost is $30 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required.

Chef Bailey will demonstrate how to make the entrée tandoori-spiced chicken with charred yogurt sauce, chickpea and summer herb basmati pilaf, snow pea and carrot slaw with roasted tomato and ginger coulis. This will be paired with the 2012 Yalumba Shiraz at $9 per glass.

Season’s at Highland Lake Pastry Chef Stephen Spence will show how to create a fresh peach cake with toasted almond streusel topping and blueberry vanilla bean sauce with llme-ginger candied blueberries. A glass of 2012 Two Princes Riesling at $9 is the suggested wine pairing.

At the completion of the class, guests will enjoy lunch featuring each of these courses and receive copies of the recipes along with the newfound confidence to try these dishes themselves.
