Second Mars Hill man charged, now in custody in March hit and run

Asheville, NC (July 28, 2023): A second Mars Hill man has been charged with Felony Accessory After the Fact following the hit and run that claimed the life of a cyclist back in March.

Allen Blayze Dion (07/06/2001) was taken into custody on July 27 around 4:30 p.m. in the area of Patton and Florida Avenue and served with this warrant as well as three Larceny charges, two of which are felonies; two counts of Financial Card Theft, three counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, two Parole Violations, a Felony Probation Violation, and two counts of Resisting Arrest.

Dion was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under an $82,000 secured bond (or $8,200 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate
