Asheville, NC – On Sunday, April 8 at approximately 9 a.m. Reynolds Fire Department Chief Richard Sales was involved in a single car motor vehicle wreck in which he succumbed to his injuries. Chief Sales, 52 years old, served 31 years with Reynolds FD with the last 10 years as chief.
Tomorrow Reynolds Fire Department and Riceville Fire Department’s ambulance will return Chief Richard Sales home. The procession will begin at 2 p.m. from Baptist Hospital in Wake Forest escorted by the Buncombe County Sherriff’s Department along I-40 to Anders Rice Funeral Home in Asheville. Information regarding visitation and memorial services will be announced later today.
