Press release from the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office:
Shortly after noon on February 9, the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 36 Lifting Fog Road in Leicester for a report of a breaking and entering by three masked individuals. Upon arriving at the residence, one individual was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was transported to Mission Hospital. That individual is alive and remains at Mission Hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office has identified multiple persons of interest and this remains an active and ongoing criminal investigation. Narcotics and three firearms were recovered from the residence.
Jonathan Tanner Boyd, age 20, who resides at the residence, has been charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
