Sierra Nevada reopening Mill River taproom May 12

Press release from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.:

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. announced today that it will reopen its Taprooms and Gift Shops at its Chico, CA and Mills River, NC breweries in May. The Mills River brewery will open with a target date of Wednesday, May 12; Chico will open with a target date of Wednesday, May 26. Both openings will depend on county COVID-19 trends and state and local guidelines come May.

“We are thrilled to once again open our doors to our customers,” said Sierra Nevada Vice President Brian Grossman. He stressed that keeping customers and employees safe was still the company’s number one priority. “We have spent months preparing for this and would not be reopening if we did not think it was safe to do so.”

Both breweries have been closed to the public since March 2020. The Taprooms will reopen at 50% capacity with dining reservations only. Tables will be socially distanced and additional safety measures will be introduced. The Gift Shops will also reopen at 50% capacity and will continue offering curbside pickup in addition to in-person shopping.

The brewery is also hiring Food & Beverage roles to staff the restaurants in preparation for the reopening. New employees will start immediately and will receive full benefits soon after employment. To learn more, please visit www.sierranevada.com/careers.

“We are in the beer business, and there is nothing we love more than sharing food and drink with our friends,” said Grossman. “This year has obviously been very difficult on us all, and we can’t wait to raise a glass together once again.”
