Slow Food Asheville invites all interested community members to attend its Annual Member Meeting and Potluck at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17 at All Souls Pizza, 175 Clingman Ave., Asheville. The event is free and open to the public. Current and prospective members of Slow Food Asheville will join around good food and company to learn about the organization and program updates. Bring a dish or just show up. Beer will be available for purchase.
Attendees will have the opportunity to become a new member of Slow Food, renew memberships and discover volunteer opportunities. Programs supported by the Asheville chapter include F.E.A.S.T., Appalachian Food Storybank and monthly ABCCM Dinners.
Slow Food is a global, grassroots movement with thousands of members around the world that links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment.
