Tasting event for first commercial preserves made from Katuah Muscadines on May 20 in Marshall

Press release from Jewel of the Blue Ridge Vineyard & Greenhouse Nursery:

On Sunday, May 20th we will be offering free tasting of “Jeannie’s Muscadine Grape-hull Preserves” at the Sweet Monkey Cafe & Bakery, 133 South Main Street, Marshall (across the street from the US Post Office).

“Jeannie’s Muscadine Grape-hull Preserves” represents the first commercial product made from the native, cold-hardy Katuah Muscadines from the Jewel of the Blue Ridge Vineyard in Marshall – grown totally naturally – with no chemicals of any kind sprayed on the vines or the soil.

Our Katuah Muscadine grapes were processed into Jeannie’s special preserve recipe by D’Vine Foods in Dublin NC and made with organic sugar.

Samples will be served on Sweet Monkey’s famous home made biscuits fresh from the oven!

Come celebrate our first commercial production of Katuah Muscadines products from Madison County.

A limited number of jars of “Jeannie’s Muscadine Grape-hull Preserves” will be available for sale.

Doors will open at 5:30PM and music will be provided.
