Temporary road and trail closures announced in Pisgah Ranger District

Press release from National Forests of North Carolina:

The Pisgah Ranger District has temporarily closed some trails and roads used as trails in the South Mills River area on the Pisgah National Forest to protect public safety during maintenance activities which involve the use of heavy equipment.

The following are closed and will reopen after operations are completed:
– Bradley Creek Trail (351) at the intersection with Bradley Creek Road (FSR 5015)
– Bradley Creek Trail (351) at the intersection with Laurel Creek Trail (348)
– Bradley Creek Trail (351) at the intersection with Riverside Trail (115)
– Riverside Trail (115) at the intersection with Vineyard Gap Trail (324)

The following closed road will reopen to Hiking/Biking/Horse use after operations are completed:
– Bradley Creek Road (FSR 5015)

The public is also urged to use caution while traveling on Yellow Gap Rd (FSR1206) due to the possible interaction with trucks hauling gravel in the area.
