The Arc of Buncombe County hosts annual meeting on June 9

From The Arc of Buncombe County:

Asheville, NC – The Arc of Buncombe County will host their annual meeting on the afternoon of Monday, June 9, at the Manor Inn at 11:30am.

 “As a community, we try to improve the standard of living and quality of life for everyone,” states Terry Bellamy, Executive Director.

 Tickets are $25.00 and lunch will be provided.  The Agency Year in Review and Awards Ceremony will begin promptly at 12pm.

 The agency will acknowledge this past year’s success and accomplishments as well as provide awards and honors to exceptional teachers and volunteers for their dedication to The Arc’s mission and the individuals we serve. The meeting is a great opportunity to learn about The Arc’s services and programs and is open to the general public.

The Arc advocates for and serves people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD), including Down syndrome, autism, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, cerebral palsy and other diagnoses. The Arc has a network of over 700 chapters across the country promoting and protecting the human rights of people with I/DD and actively supporting their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes and without regard to diagnosis.
